Welcome to ETOHing!

If you are curious about the name, it is a play on the word “eating” but is combined with ETOH. ETOH is the abbreviation for Ethyl Alcohol in the medical field, and is usually used when testing the alcohol levels of a patient.

I am a nurse by profession, and had this idea for ETOHing while joking with my husband. Although my husband and I both love to cook, there is something special about the combination of alcohol with food. It was during this joking that I thought of the combining ETOH with eating, since is sounds like [eat-oh-ing.]

One thing we kept finding when we would watch and try TV cooking recipes would be the little amount of alcohol used. It is not that a lot of alcohol is necessary, but that most recipes would not have the taste of the alcohol. Yet, you just added all of these sugars. What is the point of having alcohol without the taste? We have our treats as such, treats. We have our ETOHing experience and enjoy every bite of it.
